Q: How do I enroll in the next seminar series?

A: There are two options.  First, you can reserve a seat online by clicking here.  Second, you can call Heather at 303-260-9739.

Q: Who teaches the seminars?

A: Each seminar is taught by a specialist in the field. The major legal portions are taught by licensed attorneys including Brian Vicente and Sean McAllister.

 Q: What will I learn?

A: The seminars are unique and each class covers a separate and important topic including: legal, accounting, bud-tending and best practices, and “know your rights” training.

 Q: Do the seminars come with materials?

A: The legal seminar comes with a CD of materials that will assist with the set-up of a dispensary or caregiver service. Students who complete the 4-Week course will also receive a certification of completion.”

 Q: What are the benefits of certification?

A:  At the end of the 4-Week course, students will receive a certification of completion. If you are applying for a job at a dispensary, we believe the certification will give you an advantage in the selection process over someone who has not received certification. Certification shows that you have taken all of our courses and have gained a level of expertise in the medical cannabis industry. Once receiving certification, you are encouraged to list Canna-Business Institute on your resume.”

Q: When and where are classes?

A: Classes are every Wednesday starting at 6PM and lasting approximately two and one half hours.  Classes are at conveniently located at 2119 Curtis Street in downtown Denver. Get Directions.

Q: How are the different topics scheduled?

A: Each class focuses on a separate topic and the topics “refresh” each month.  For example, in November, week 1 focuses on legal advice and week 2 will be a different topic.  Then in December, week 1 will again lecture on legal advice with a new topic the next week.

Q: What happens at a typical seminar?

A: Each class is approximately two to three hours long. They follow an interactive lecture format.  This means that the instructor will lecture while allowing students to ask questions throughout the presentation.  At the end of the lecture, there will be time to ask any additional personal questions.

Q: What will I learn?

A: Each seminar is unique.  However, each seminar series covers the following topics: legal, accounting, bud-tending and best practices, and “know your rights” training.

Q: If I attend this seminar are you my attorney?

A: No, this seminar is for educational purposes only and attending does not form a formal client-attorney relationship.

Q: What are the benefits of certification?

A: If you complete our series of classes, you will receive a certification of completion. If you are applying for a job at a dispensary, our hope is that our certification program will give you the advantage in the selection process over someone who has NOT received certification. Certification shows that you have taken all of our courses and have proved that you have met our standards of knowledge in the cannabis industry.
